Somewhere Out There In The West
These are the Macedonians.
They are a space-faring race from my novel Somewhere Out There In The West. Shown here is Commander Hercules and his first mates, the twins Castor and Pullux. They travel the solar system looking for Zeus and the old gods in my novel… but the book is about so much more – like the main character Billy Hero and his strange journey. There’s avenging angels, the sweet sound of Elvis Presley singing gospel songs, mysticism and a taste of the golden age.
My first novel – Somewhere Out There In The West – took me years to write.
The first page was written in a notebook some forty years ago. I rediscover that first page in 2012 and it inspired the first bit, written back when we lived in Long Beach. Then it sat, untouched for four years until I picked it up again in 2016 while we lived in Gamma Gulch, near Pioneertown in the hi-desert. What was a short story turned into a novella. And then it grew again and I added a part two to the story and my little story had grown into a novel.
In September of 2017 the novel was published and began a whirlwind of writing in me that kept up for three years and produced three more novels. Being published was such a burst a adrenaline to my system that I started my next novel – Moving At The Speed of Time – nearly immediately. I believed that anything was possible as my lifelong dream of writing a novel had come true… an inspired moment.
I love my first novel and it opened doors for me, introducing me to Jean-Paul L. Garnier and Space Cowboy Books. That ongoing friendship is one I cherish.

These questions and more are answered by Billy Hero, who is on the move. He’s recovering from partial amnesia due to his most recent battle with the Nagas. The story follows him from New Mexico to Denver, through some Deep Underground Bases on his way to Minneapolis to meet with his old friend, the Reverend T.J. Clemons who broadcasts his gospel message from the Holy Mexican Radio Air Wave Ministry from Chihuahua, Mexico. Meanwhile, Avenging Angels are administering cosmic justice. The clock is ticking towards December 21, 2012, the end of the Kali Yuga Age and the beginning of the Age of Aquarius. Revival is breaking out at Reverend Clemons’ radio station, and three Hopi Indian warriors are tracking Billy Hero.
