“Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep…”
acrylic latex, charcoal on sailcloth
46” x 31”
February 20, 1994
I spent most of 1994 painting the line abstracts series that began in late 93. This one was done much like yesterday’s piece – like a dance. I consider it the companion painting to yesterday’s… they both hang together on our living room wall.
In my mind, the little guy at the bottom right is dreaming of himself as a seated Buddha surrounded by a few dream creatures… but I leave the meaning of this painting to the mind and imagination of the viewer. You may see something entirely different, or you may see this as just abstract lines painted on a canvas. No wrong answers on this one!
